So, you want to know about us, hmm? We’re very flattered. Modesty forbids us to talk about ourselves too much, so we’ll be brief.
We are Unwound Magazine, but you can call us UM. Founded in 2011 by our fearless leader, Robert Montag, UM is an ever-changing online publication dedicated to enriching the lives of readers whenever, wherever, and however possible. We want to entertain, warm the heart, please the intellect, and lift the spirit with our content. And we want your help. Robert Montag
Position: The BIG Cheese
Robert Montag has lived in York PA all his life. Since a young age Robert has tried to be the best he can be in everything he does especially business. Though he is only twenty-three, he has been studying everything about business for more then eight years and has been an owner of various local companies for over five years. The limitation of only having a high school degree has not stopped his efforts to provide jobs to those in his community as well as make a living for himself. His hobbies include programming, designing new products, video games, and of course blowing things up.
Emily Northey
Position: Co-Managing Editor
Emily recently graduated from Susquehanna University with a BA in Creative Writing and minors in both Photography and Asian Studies. She was Managing Editor for RiverCraft, SU's on-campus literature and art magazine. Her writing and photography have also been featured in RiverCraft, as well as Essay and Logogram. She is also a member of the newly-formed traveling belly dance group, Zaida Rising Dance Company. Emily currently resides in Etters, PA.
Billy Golihew
Position: Co-Managing Editor
Billy Golihew was born in York, Pennsylvania and continues being born there to this very day. He is a Sagittarius, and consequently, does not subscribe to Astrology. Or any single belief system, for that matter. Billy enjoys a large ideological sampler platter with a wide array of philosophical dips and dressings. Experimental Thought is a collection of his uplifting, homegrown theories about Life, and the ideas that inspire him to be a better person. Billy also enjoys food, orgasms, and movies, but not often in that order.
Dan Wilhelm
Position: Content Editor
Dan Wilhelm grew up in Endwell, New York, but moved away after the neighbors started asking awkward questions. He graduated from Susquehanna University, in May of 2011, with a BA in Creative Writing. His personal essays have been published in undergraduate literary journals such as Sphere and Outrageous Fortune, and in 2009 he was a national semi-finalist for the Norman Mailer College Nonfiction Writing Award. He currently resides in New Cumberland, PA.
Shaina Lucas
Position: Intern
Shaina Lucas is currently a student at York College earning a B.A in Professional Writing, minoring in Creative Writing, Music and World History. She currently lives in York, PA spending her time at home, work and with her fiance. She has two cats named Prince and Strawberry and a new addition to the family a German Shepard-Border Collie mix puppy named Ashes. Her hobbies include writing novels, obsessing over Batman, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sailor Moon, and commits her Monday nights to watching WWE Monday Night Raw.
