The day has finally come for many Batman fanatics around the world: the release of The Gates of Gotham graphic novel.
This has been a long awaited plan in motion, a 5 part mini-series collection of some of the biggest story-lines in 2011, which in itself sets the stage for new series and story-lines in 2012. The writers of the mini-series–Scott Snyder (American Vampire), David Hine and Kyle Higgins (Nightwing)–put together their comic talents to bring the biggest challenge yet to the Caped Crusader.
A mystery as old as Gotham itself surfaces, Batman puts together a team of detectives and old friends including Red Robin, Owlman, I-Ching and many others, to solve this stirring enigma. The mystery deepens as the detectives and the Dark Knight discover clues that lead to chilling discoveries. The team soon finds itself on a journey that revolves around Gotham City’s deep secrets and history, touching upon the famous families of the Wanyes, Elliots, and Kanes.
The graphic novel itself also includes Batman Annual #28 and Detective Comics Annual #12, two of the latest comics from the DC Universe. Gates of Gotham is available February 1st, 2012. Just in time for a perfect Valentine’s Day present for the Batman or Batgirl in your life.
