Write For Us!

Dearest reader, we thank you for taking the time to explore our humble literary experiment.  We want so much to please, to provide an outlet of positivity, to put a spring in your step and sometimes a mischievous twinkle in your eye.  But there’s one key element we need in order to make everything gel: YOU.  Specifically your work.  We like knowing that you’re there, scrolling along late at night when you should be sleeping/studying for that midterm.  But we love knowing that some of you have something to contribute, and we crave it like Robert, our editor-in-chief, craves the smell of freshly-blown dynamite or a Captain and Coke.  Which is to say, a whole freaking lot.

So answer these questions:

1) Have you written something you’d like to share with the rest of the world?

2) Does it fit snugly into one of Unwound Magazine’s main focus groups, specifically entertainment, fiction, humor, or philosophy?

3) Will your work positively promote a sense of well-being, growth, or insight for our readers?

4) Have you read and can you comply with our Terms and Conditions of Use and our Rules for Submissions?

If so, then please take a moment to prepare your submission.  Give it an editorial back rub, dress it up in something nice (lax business casual preferred; nothing too flashy; NO PAPYRUS FONT), peck it on the cheek and tell it that you love it.  Then attach it in an email to submissions@unwoundmag.com , put your name and its title in the subject line, and send it on it’s way.  Should we really enjoy it, then you may see it shining on our front page!

(Note: All submissions must be written in either article/essay or short story format. No poetry, please.)
